Boop is a LinkedIn follow-up reminder tool. Our Chrome extension collects the following information:

• User account information (email address for authentication)
• LinkedIn conversation context (participant names and recent messages) when you create a reminder
• Reminder scheduling data (dates, times, custom notes)
• Authentication tokens for secure access

2. How We Use Information

The information collected is used to:

• Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
• Create and schedule follow-up reminders for your LinkedIn conversations
• Generate AI-powered reply suggestions based on your conversation context
• Send reminder emails when it's time to follow up

3. AI-Generated Content

Boop uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate suggested reply messages based on your conversation context. This helps you craft thoughtful follow-ups quickly. Your conversation data is processed securely and not used to train AI models.

4. Data Storage

Data is stored both locally and on our secure servers:

• Authentication tokens stored locally using Chrome's sync storage
• Reminder and conversation data stored securely on our servers
• Data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
• No data is shared with or sold to third parties

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only used to provide the Boop service. Conversation context is sent to Anthropic's API solely to generate reply suggestions.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained until you:

• Delete your account
• Delete individual reminders through the extension
• Request data deletion by contacting us

7. Permissions

Our extension requests the following permissions:

• storage: To save your authentication tokens and preferences locally
• activeTab: To detect when you send LinkedIn messages and extract conversation context
• clipboardWrite: To copy suggested replies to your clipboard
• host_permissions (linkedin.com): To interact with LinkedIn's messaging interface

8. Security

We implement security measures to protect your data, including:

• Content Security Policy restrictions
• Secure HTTPS-only communication
• JWT-based authentication with token refresh
• Limited permissions scope

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the extension or our website.
